FINDING BEAUTY – CELEBRATING ART, NATURE AND COMMUNITY
“Art and nature share so much in common. Both can inspire our curiosity about life. Together they have the power to lift the spirit of our communities.” – Artist, Joanne Miller
Join artist Joanne Miller, Green Wheaton and community partners on a journey of exploration, creativity and fun as we photograph the nature in Wheaton. With the downtown urban Central Business District (CBD) as a backdrop, activities include artist walking tours, workshops and family friendly photography events, community exhibitions and contests. Share your photographs with the community and participate in our creative dialogue about finding beauty in our community backyard. Once each month Joanne will conduct a walking tour in Wheaton. All events are free and open to the public.
Wheaton, one of three designated Arts and Entertainment Districts in Montgomery County welcomes you to explore their vibrant community. In addition to the many restaurants, established businesses and rich cultural diversity, community members are actively creating an environmentally friendly way of life. GreenWheaton plays dynamic role (or is a dynamic presence) in bringing the community together.
