Collecting donations of used clothing & linens.
The average US citizen throws away 70 pounds of clothing each year, 85% of which is dumped into overcrowded landfills. Almost 100% of these items can be reused or recycled, saving not just the materials themselves, but also the water and energy used during the manufacturing process.
Learn how The ARC Montgomery‘s programs support children, adults & families affected by intellectual & developmental disabilities by providing child care, work training, & community living options.
The Arc Montgomery County collects clothing, linens, shoes, belts, handbags and backpacks which are reused, repurposed or recycled. This process provides employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
